What We’re Loving Right Now in Durham (Spring Favorites from Tigress)

Lately, we’ve been trading notes—favorite reads, places we keep returning to, small rituals that make the days feel a little fuller.

So we gathered them here. A few things each of us is loving right now—some local, some that we have chanced upon and felt delighted.

From Rachel

  • Faves In The Shop Right Now : The dreamy Cove Vest (So soft, so versatile) & a Jumpsuit that feels like heaven (and wears like that too).

From Lou

  • Living Arts Collective - A co-created community space for dance, drumming, song, and movement—medicine for moving emotion through the body with your neighbors.
  • Little River Somatic Healing - Hands-on facilitation for individuals or couples—deeply supportive for navigating change, conflict, and shifting longstanding behavior patterns.
  • The Durham Salt Cave - Holistic offerings for body and mind, sound baths, massage, and energy work rooted in cyclical natural wisdom.
  • Cat Katya Tongue - A local sewist working with salvaged, recycled, and reclaimed materials available for custom pieces.

From Julianna

  • A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers - A sweet, hopeful novella about following your heart and finding your place in the world.
  • So/If - A new downtown spot with great spritzes and tasty non-alcoholic options—perfect for a spring date night.
  • Durham Farmers' Market - Fresh produce, plant starts, and seasonal treats. The Strawberry Shindy is May 9—one of my favorite local traditions!
  • Falls Lake State Recreation Area - Lakeside camping, stargazing, and birdwatching—an easy escape that still feels close to home.
  • Faves In The Shop Right Now: Light and breezy Cornflower Pants from Le Bon Shoppe and flirty, fun Squiggle Tank from Nooworks.
  •

    From Rainbow

    • Broken Spoke Farm - A family farm with a produce stand and ice cream—simple, joyful, and very spring.
    • Eno River Farm - Pick-your-own berries, a nursery, and a few surprises along the way.
    • Southwind Produce CSA - A way to stay connected to what’s growing locally, week by week.
    • Sauna House- A quiet, restorative date night—warm, slow, and grounding.
    • The Hacienda by Isabel Canas - A fun Gothic horror novel exploring colonial Mexico hauntings.

If you stop by the shop, ask us what we’re loving lately. We’ll probably have a few more to share.
